Michael Deckert is the business area manager, Chem-Bio Defense Systems, for SRC, Inc. He is responsible for developing chemical and biological defense system for government customers.
He has 20 years of Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Service major acquisition program experience. He has an additional 10 years of experience in industry and academia with research and development work. He was Product Director for the Joint Biological Point Detection System responsible for all research, engineering, production, fielding, and logistic support efforts.
He was instrumental in deployment and operation of bio-defense capabilities during operation Nobel Eagle, the Winter 2002 Olympics, and was awarded David Packard Award for Acquisition Excellence.
Mr. Deckert holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Temple University, a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a master’s of business administration degree from New York University.
