Inspector Faulkner is the Officer i/c RCMP CBRNE Operations which includes the Operational Response Unit, Special Support Unit, IED Exploitation-ECM Program, Explosives Disposal Training through the Canadian Police College, Domestic CBRN Training Program, International CBRN Training Program and the National CBRNE Response Team. CBRNE Operations is also the policy center for 10 Divisional Explosives Disposal and 4 CBRN Regional programs within Canada. CBRNE Operations is the policy center for 85 RCMP CBRNE technicians in 10 provinces, coast to coast. 85 % of RCMP Explosives Technicians are cross trained with CBRN response.
Inspector Faulkner is a trained incident commander and has been i/c of the National CBRNE Response Team during major events such as the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, G8-G20 events, Royal visits, numerous head of states visits. Inspector Faulkner works closely with his colleagues and partners within the National CBRNE Response Team such as the Canadian Forces Joint Incident Response Unit ( Military CBRNE Team) , Public Health Agency Canada ( biological support ) Health Canada ( radiological support) and Defence Research and Development Canada ( chemical support).
